David Tedesche
Seminarian-in-Residence
I grew up in Ontario NY and went to St. Rita’s in Webster for grade school. I graduated from Wayne Central High School—class of 1995. My parents still live in Ontario while my oldest brother and his wife live in Canandaigua. My other two siblings—an older brother and a younger sister—currently live out west, and I have extended family on my father’s side in Seneca Falls. My college years brought me out of the diocese as I attended university at SUNY Albany, earning my B.A. in English in 2000 and my M.A. in Philosophy in 2001. I then taught high school English in out in the Adirondacks. It wasn’t until a few years later that I would decide to give my life to God and to the Church by seeking to enter the priesthood. It was then that I returned to Rochester in 2007 and started discerning with the diocese. I entered the North American College in Rome in 2008 and have completed two years of my theological education there. I have had two great years in seminary, but I am so excited to be back home to begin serving the people of the Diocese of Rochester at St. Charles Borromeo!
