Let me serve you. Service is the Deacon’s job whether at the Lord’s Table of out on the streets. While my theological specialty is Religion and Science, if my particular spirituality and background does not connect with your spiritual needs, it would be my privilege to help you find that connection with other souls on your journey.
I was born and raised in the City of Rochester before going off to schools from 1978 until 1998. Yes, schools. The United States Air Force paid for me to attend the University of Notre Dame, Air Force Flight Training (Navigator/WSO), Boston University, Test Pilot School, and Penn State. Finally, the Diocese of Rochester sponsored me to become a Deacon over a five year period culminating in ordination on June 3rd, 2012. That allowed me to add a Masters of Pastoral Studies to my four engineering degrees. However, the greatest gift received through those years has been the love and understanding of my family.
My wife, Patti, and I met at the University of Notre Dame. We have been blest with three children and eleven foster children. Patti has worked as an Occupational Therapist in many different settings as I moved around the Air Force and she now works in the Greece School system in grades K – 5. Since retiring from the Air Force, I have taught, tutored, and mentored slightly older youth in the city and at Bishop Kearney High School while also parenting children attending Bishop Kearney, Aquinas, Charlotte, and East High Schools. As a member of the Saint Vincent de Paul Society I also work with those in need in the Northeastern Quadrant of the city, especially young parents desiring to improve their parenting skills. How may I serve the Lord with you?
