Invitation to Council 3892, Our Lady of the Cenacle, Knights of Columbus

As Grand Knight of Council 3892, it is my pleasure to introduce you to the Knights of Columbus. You most probably have heard of the Knights of Columbus but still may have little idea of who they are, what they do or their intended purpose. You also may have never been asked to join the Knights of Columbus. Well, if you are looking to live out your faith in the spirit of charity by helping others, the Knights of Columbus Council 3892 welcomes you.

We work to serve our local parishes and communities while working each day to create a better world through charity. You and your family through the Women’s Auxiliary and Columbian Squires (young men 12 to 18) have the opportunity to become involved in the council’s charitable, faith-based and social programs.

As a Knight you will be joining an organization where you will be welcomed in over 15,000 councils throughout the world representing nearly 2 million members.

Over the past decade, men like you have enabled the charitable donations of the Knights of Columbus to reach more than one billion, 400 million dollars and individual Knights have donated more than 664 million volunteer hours to charity. Since its founding in 1882 by the Venerable Servant of God Father Michael McGivney, the first principle of the Order has been charity. We actively assist the Church and our neighbors in need.

We were also founded to protect the livelihood of Catholic families, and that commitment means that we continue to provide our members and their families with top quality life insurance and annuity products. No life insurer in North America has a higher rating than the Knights of Columbus. Today, we would like to offer you the opportunity to join us in our work for God and neighbor.

As much good work as the Knights of Columbus has done in the past decade, we could do even more with your help. Join us today and help be the difference in your community and Church. Please fill out an interest postcard located in the back of church and place in the collection basket or return it to the Parish Office.

We will be having an open house Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at 7:00 pm in our St. Charles Parish Center where you can get more information and have all your questions answered. All are invited.
