Fr. John, in concert with the Diocese of Rochester and our Finance Council, has made the very difficult decision to furlough the following positions within the Parish due to health concerns and financial impacts surrounding the Coronavirus situation —Faith Formation Director, Youth Minister, Pastoral Minister of the Homebound, Choir Director, Rectory Cook and Office Weekend Receptionist. It is the hope that we will be able to restore our ministries to full operational capacity in the not too distant future. Please keep them in your prayers during this difficult time.
These actions have been taken to help defray the costs of the Parish during these unsettling times. We understand that all of you are experiencing the effects of the Coronavirus situation in a variety of ways whether they be health related or financially related or both. Please know that we will have a skeletal staff at the Parish Office if you need to reach us. We may not be able to help you as quickly as we would like, but please know that we are still here for all of you.
If it’s within your ability to do so, we please ask that you continue to support your Church and Parish. In order to decrease your exposure to any health risks, we have installed a secure drop box on the Parish Office door. You are welcome to stop and deposit your envelope or weekly contribution using the drop box. You can also continue to mail your envelopes to the Parish Office. If you are interested in learning more about credit card contributions or electronic checking payments, please contact the Business Manager.
We will be implementing new Parish Office hours. We will be open from 8:30am to 1pm Monday through Friday. We will no longer be open on Sunday mornings.
Fr. John, Fr. Pius and the Staff of St. Charles Parish continues to pray for each of you and we ask that you keep us in your prayers.
