St. Charles Blood Drive - Sunday, April 10

The St. Charles Social Ministry Committee is hosting a blood drive this Sunday, April 10, from 8:30 am until 12:30 pm, in the gym. The need for blood is great at any time of the year. Preparation is simple - maintain a healthy iron level and come hydrated. Have your ID, know your medications, and wear something comfortable with sleeves that easily roll up.

WHO CAN GIVE? Anyone 17 years of age or older, in good health, weighing at least 110 lbs.

WHAT DO I DO AHEAD TO PREPARE? Sign-up at 1-800-733-2767 or on the sign-up sheet in the back of Church. Hydrate well the day before (walk-ins are always welcome!)

WILL IT TAKE LONG? The actual donation process usually takes less than 15 minutes. There are pre-donation reading materials and health history questionnaire beforehand and an energy snack afterwards.

HOW WILL I FEEL AFTER I GIVE? Like the HERO that you have become! You can go on with the rest of your day as normal.

HOW WILL MY BLOOD BE USED? Accident victims, premature babies, cancer patients and people undergoing surgery all may need blood.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call our offices: 663-3230.
