The celebration of the liturgy is at the heart of our life as a parish community. Through our liturgical ministries, parishioners share their gifts and take an active role in the worship life of the Church. Each ministry offers a unique way to serve God and one another during Mass and other liturgical celebrations.
These ministries help make our liturgies prayerful, welcoming, and meaningful experiences for all who gather to worship. From proclaiming the Word, to assisting at the altar, to greeting parishioners as they arrive — each act of service contributes to the beauty and reverence of our communal prayer.
Ways to Serve
Parishioners may participate in a variety of liturgical roles, including:
- Lectors, who proclaim the Word of God.
- Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, who assist in the distribution of the Eucharist.
- Music Ministers, who lead the assembly in sung prayer.
- Ushers and Greeters, who offer hospitality and help ensure the smooth flow of the liturgy.
- Sacristans, who prepare the worship space and sacred vessels.
Get Involved
Whether you are called to serve quietly behind the scenes or in a more visible role during Mass, there is a place for you in our liturgical life. Training is provided for all ministries, and volunteers may choose the times and roles that best fit their gifts and schedules.
