Updated Mask Guidance (2/9/22)

joanbigham

Gov. Kathy Hochul announced on Wednesday, 2/9, that the Statewide indoor mask mandate for businesses including churches would be allowed to expire on Thursday, February 10, 2022.

The CDC continues to issue the following guidance: “Everyone ages 2 years and older should properly wear a well-fitting mask indoors in public in areas of substantial or high community transmission, regardless of vaccination status. Masks remain a critical tool to fight the spread of COVID-19" .

Our parish will continue to follow the guidance outlined below:

  • All Ministers of Communion and Sacristans are required to wear a mask when serving; all other ministers at Mass are encouraged to wear a mask when serving.

  • Everyone is encouraged to wear a mask while indoors at Church, including the vaccinated.

  • Per NYS, unvaccinated individuals continue to be responsible for wearing masks and following the other guidelines, in accordance with federal CDC guidance.
